SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Western District of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club, Inc. is proud to be a part of a great tradition that encourages and recognizes both academic achievement and community service excellence of African-American women. We are pleased to offer scholarships to currently enrolled college students.  

 

To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements:

 

  • Applicant is an African-American graduating high school senior

  • Applicant is a U.S. Citizen

  • Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA or above on a 4.0 scale by February 1 in the year of graduation to apply.

  • Applicant must complete an official Western District Scholarship Application by deadline date of March 1.

  • Applicant must submit a typed 300 word essay on the following topic:  “Why Education Is Important To Me”

 

The NANBPWC, Inc. – Western District Scholarship Committee will determine an applicant's eligibility.  The deadline is March 1, for submission of the application and documentation.
